Clinical trials that tested Hydroquinone determined that it can lead to the development of cancer which is why it was banned in so many countries. While it is still legal in the U.S., we suggest avoiding any skin lightening products that uses Hydroquinone and instead to purchase products which use safer, yet still effective skin lightening ingredients such as Alpha Arbutin (natural) and Kojic Acid (natural).
